School Superintendents Gather for Annual Joint Meeting
On Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2019 members of the Nassau County Council of School Superintendents and the Suffolk County School Superintendents Association gathered for a joint annual superintendents meeting.
The meeting began with a welcome from both Dr. Michael Nagler, Mineola superintendent of schools and president of the NCCSS, and Dr. Kenneth Bossert, Elwood superintendent of schools and president of the SCSSA.
Also in attendance were Charles Dedrick, executive director of the New York State Council of School Superintendents; Jacinda Conboy, Esq., general counsel of NYSCOSS; Robert Lowry, deputy director of NYSCOSS; and Dr. Julie Davis Lutz, ES BOCES executive director. They each provided informative presentations on NYSCOSS priorities, legislative updates, funding for education and legislative advocacy.
